About the Pastor
On September 1, 2000, Rev. Raymond M. Tear was called by the Congregation as Pastor. He is a graduate of Spring Arbor College in Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree (majors in History and Education), and of Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, with a Master of Divinity. He has served churches in the Raleigh, NC area and in Cuero, Texas. Prior to beginning study for the ministry he served in the U.S. Army and managed a family owned Printing and Advertising business.
Pastor Tear and his wife, Linda, live in Ingram Oaks and have two sons in North Carolina. The Pastor's interests include computers, hunting and fishing. He has also served on the boards of numerous ecumenical bodies and Presbytery committees, including Kerr Interfaith Disaster Relief, West Kerr County Ministerial Alliance, Alpha-Omega Life Center, and the Small Church Taskforce of Mission Presbytery. He is also active in "Walk to Emmaus."
